Content Area: China/Maritime Trade

  1. What are the social, political, economic, and geographical factors that led to Quanzhou becoming a multicultural city?
  2. What were the political, social, and economic impact this multiculturalism had on Quanzhou (and neighboring areas)?

Pedagogical Area: Historical Empathy & Digital Learning

  1. What are the best teaching methods and digital tools to teach historical empathy to middle school students?
  2. (Maybe) What are the best ways to assess middle school students’ historical empathy?
